A Blessing for the Christmas Season

I wrote this blessing for use at the end of services during the Christmas season. At St. Stephen’s, we often use alternate blessings to differentiate liturgical seasons.

The light of Christ filled a stable and burned in a star. The song of the angels filled a pasture and echoed in the shepherds’ joy. The wonder of God’s presence filled the world and dwelt in a mother’s heart. In this holy season, may you live a life full of God: share the light, sing the song, wonder at the movement of God. And may the blessing of God Almighty, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, be upon you and remain with you this day and always. Amen.
